Our Trip to Scotland

In May 2023 Gma Cathy and Grandpa Tim (along with Aunty Rita) went to Scotland to see Uncle Zack perform in the Orkney Folk Festival. Here are some things we saw and did!

Going to the Town of Insch

Here is Gma just after getting off the train at Insch.

Someone made a model of the Insch church out of wood and cardboard.

On Our Way to the Orkney Islands

And this is how light it was at 5 in the morning!

Where we stayed had a working farm with sheep, goats, horses ...

... and "wee koos" (cows). These are known as Highland Cows and are very gentle. We got to pet them.

The road past Dornoch leads past the Dornoch Firth (firth is an estuary or inlet) of the North Sea.
